Barnicle v. American General

Larry Sackey represented a nationwide class of policyholders as class counsel in this insurance class action. This class action was certified on behalf of American General policyholders who received an unjustified premium charge increase. It was settled in excess of $60 million.

Rodriguez v. Metropolitan Life

Mr. Sackey represented a nationwide class of policyholders that was settled for over $40 million dollars in this insurance class action on behalf of Metropolitan Life policyholders who received an unjustified mortality charge increase based on Congressional legislation requiring capitalization and amortization of deferred acquisition costs.

Massey v. Shelter Life Insurance Company

Larry Sackey was co-lead counsel in this nationwide class action matter. The Massey case was brought on behalf of thousands of Shelter Life policyholders who received unjustified premium charge increases and was settled in 2006 for millions of dollars.

Block v. Ohio State Life Insurance Co.

Larry Sackey was also co-lead class counsel in this recently settled class action. This case was brought on behalf of thousands of policyholders who received unjustified premium charge increases.

Walter v. State Farm

Mr. Sackey tried this insurance bad faith case on behalf of an individual whose earthquake insurance coverage was denied and achieved a jury finding that the plaintiff’s claim was intentionally denied in bad faith.
